The Power of a Strong Team: Reflecting on 2024 with Gratitude

Updated: 2 hours ago

As 2024 comes to a close, I find myself overwhelmed with gratitude and a renewed sense of purpose. This year has been one of significant personal and professional growth, a year of challenges and triumphs, and above all, a year where the power of a strong team has shone brighter than ever.

Moving to Spain this year was a leap of faith. For a long time, I had dreamed of stepping back, taking a deep breath, and embracing a slower, more intentional pace of life. But, like many entrepreneurs, I hesitated. I worried about what might happen if I wasn’t there to oversee the day-to-day, to handle the fires, or to push the ball forward. Taking that leap was one of the most humbling and rewarding decisions of my life.

What I found was that everything I left behind—our teams, our partners, and our clients—didn’t just sustain; they thrived. I owe this to the incredible people who surround me, from the teams who approach their work with passion and diligence to the vendor partners who treat every challenge as an opportunity.

This past year, I’ve had the chance to take a step back and breathe deeply—something I haven’t done in quite some time. At our annual business planning retreat, I reflected on just how much we’ve accomplished together. Watching our team adapt to market shifts like increased vacancies and leaning into client retention with a focus on service and satisfaction filled me with pride.

The truth is, good teams are the backbone of any success story. They are the ones who show up, innovate, and care deeply about the results they produce. But it doesn’t stop there—our vendor partners play an equally important role. They provide the tools, resources, and support that make our jobs possible, often going above and beyond to ensure we can deliver the best outcomes for our clients.

When we work with the right people—those who share our values, our vision, and our commitment to excellence—the possibilities are endless.

It’s easy to feel the weight of responsibility when you’re at the helm of a business. But this year reminded me that real success isn’t about doing it all yourself; it’s about building a foundation that empowers others to shine.

As I close out the year in Spain (where yes, tapas have become a lifestyle), I am reminded of just how lucky I am to have such incredible people in my corner. To our teams: thank you for your hard work, creativity, and dedication. To our vendor partners: thank you for being the steady force behind the scenes. And to our clients: thank you for trusting us with your goals, dreams, and challenges.

Here’s to 2025—a year of possibility, purpose, and continued partnership. Let’s build something extraordinary together.

With massive gratitude,

Chelsea Hough, Team Owner

P.S. Don't worry, in January, we will recap some actuals from the market changes this year but in the meantime if you have specific questions please let us know!
